TRE: Trauma & Tension Releasing Workshop

Facilitated by Kelly Zarcone

Sunday, December 7, 2025
2:00-3:30pm
$40

Release stress. Reconnect with ease.
Empower your body & nervous system.

Stress, overwhelm, and unprocessed emotions often live quietly in our bodies — showing up as tightness, fatigue, or disconnection. TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a simple yet profound somatic practice that helps the body naturally release deep muscular tension and reset the nervous system.

What is TRE?

TRE is a gentle, somatic technique that invites your body to release deep and long standing muscular tension, trauma, and stress through a series of easy movements that lead into an involuntary muscular shaking process called neurogenic muscle tremors. This natural tremoring signals to our brain that we can come out of heightened stress states (fight/flight/freeze) and helps regulate the nervous system and restore balance to our whole being.

Through a guided sequence of gentle movements, we invite the body to access its own innate shaking or tremoring response — a built-in mechanism for restoring balance and calm. When this release is supported with care and presence, the result is often a felt sense of grounding, ease, and renewed vitality. You’ll be guided step-by-step in a small, supportive group setting where everything unfolds at your own pace.

This class is designed to be both educational and experiential — you’ll learn how to safely practice TRE, understand how it works in the nervous system, and leave with tools to support your ongoing self-regulation and healing.

What You’ll Experience & Gain:

  • A supportive, gentle environment to explore somatic release

  • Guided instructions through accessible exercises

  • Space to feel, sense, and release through your own inner wisdom

  • Deep nervous system regulation — shifting and calming fight/flight/freeze responses

  • Emotional resilience, clarity, and mood uplift

  • Physical softening: letting go of muscular holding patterns

  • A skill you can bring into daily life

Who Should Join?

All are welcome — no prior experience needed. Whether you're dealing with chronic tension, stress, or just curious about somatic healing, this class offers a doorway into a new way to understand and connect to your nervous systems capacity to heal. You’re also encouraged to repeat the class as your understanding and capacity grows, trying various modifications and different variations in breathing techniques and movements to help facilitate release.

Please wear comfortable, loose clothing.
