Join Michelle Befus and Jennifer Weston, her longtime retreat collaborator from Seattle, for a nourishing summer afternoon designed to help you slow down, reset, and replenish. This special mini retreat will offer participants a peaceful and supportive space to relax their bodies, calm their minds, and restore their energy.
The experience begins with a gentle, floor-based yoga practice led by Michelle, inviting ease into the body and breath through slow, mindful movement. This grounding session will help you to release tension, cultivate presence, and prepare to fully receive the practices that follow.
Next, Jennifer (whose training includes an advanced certification in self myofascial release as well as years of experience as a massage therapist, yoga teacher, and craniosacral practitioner) will guide you through her signature Roll + Release workshop, in which you'll learn how to use Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls to practice self-massage, target areas of tension, and promote myofascial release. This accessible practice helps improve mobility, increase body awareness, and create a greater sense of ease throughout the body.
The retreat concludes with an extended sound bath savasana, complete with 10 crystal singing bowls, as well as various chimes and gong. This cooling deep rest allows you time to integrate the preceding practices and support balance within your nervous system.
Step out of the summer heat and into a chill space designed to help you cool down, calm down, and renew through mindful movement, self-massage, and restorative sound. You'll be invited to replenish your energy, restore balance, and reconnect with yourself from the inside out. Leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and deeply nourished.
Jennifer Weston, LMT
As a recreational rock climber, pickleball enthusiast, and the parent of an active teenager, Seattle-based Jennifer Weston is often on the go. But, she absolutely loves slowing down with self myofascial release (SMFR). Since Jennifer completed her first SMFR instructor training in early 2020, this peaceful, accessible practice has become her favorite way to reduce tension and stress, support connective tissue recovery, and balance an active lifestyle with intentional rest. Jennifer's SMFR classes, workshops, and mini retreats aim to offer students a calm, relaxing space to slow their roll, ground into their bodies, breathe, and unwind.
