The Balanced Year is a 12‑month workshop series designed to help you bring yoga off the mat and into everyday life. Each month we weave accessible, nervous system supportive yoga together with practical tools from Ayurveda, Integrative Nutrition, and Functional Medicine so you can support your body in real time—in your kitchen, in your schedule, and in how you move through each season.
Across the year, you’ll explore Ayurveda—often called yoga’s sister science—as a simple, nature‑based guide for understanding your unique constitution and living in step with the seasons. Ayurveda focuses on daily rhythms, digestion, food, and self‑care, complementing yoga’s focus on awareness, breath, and movement, so together they offer a more complete picture of how to care for your whole system over time. You’ll also learn key functional medicine perspectives that look at root causes rather than just symptoms, using food, sleep, stress, and movement as everyday “medicines” for digestion, blood sugar, hormones, mood, and more.
From an integrative nutrition lens, you’ll discover how to build meals that are both seasonal and stabilizing, how different foods influence energy and mood, and how to make realistic changes that fit your life rather than strict rules. Each workshop includes a themed teaching, a repeatable 20‑minute yoga and breath practice, and simple experiments to try between sessions, so yoga‑inspired wellness becomes something you live—one season, one month, and one small habit at a time.
April Theme | Support Your Blood Sugar – A Yogic Approach to Sustainable Energy
This workshop focuses on how supporting your blood sugar can create a steadier foundation for your whole life—your energy, mood, focus, and cravings. We’ll explore what’s actually happening in your body when blood sugar swings high or low, and how that connects to stress, sleep, and the nervous system in everyday, real‑life terms. Through a gentle, accessible yoga practice, breathwork, and simple education, you’ll start to see blood sugar not as something “medical” and far away, but as a daily rhythm you can learn to care for in a kind, doable way.
We’ll also weave in high‑level insights from Ayurveda, integrative nutrition, and functional medicine to look at how food choices, meal timing, movement, and rest can all work together to support more sustainable energy. You’ll leave with a short home yoga and breath sequence, a few practical ideas for structuring meals and snacks, and one or two realistic experiments to try in your daily routine over the month. This workshop is designed for everyday people—not experts—who want to take yoga off the mat and into the kitchen, workplace, and day‑to‑day life in a grounded, compassionate way.
Investment: $44 — Includes 2‑hour workshop, recipe pack, seasonal food guide, a printable habit tracker, and a recorded 20‑minute home practice.
